Leadership Team
Timothy Tonn, Chief Investment Officer
Tim established Cirrus Capital Management in 2003 after spending twelve years in the United States Air Force (USAF) as a Commissioned Officer and pilot. While still a pilot Tim recognized and honed his intense interest for the investment markets to satisfy his analytical inclination. He started trading his own accounts in the 1990s and began managing client assets by 2002.
Capitalizing on the discipline, leadership and resilience under pressure developed as a USAF pilot Tim has successfully evolved into a Chief Investment Officer of a Registered Investment Advisory firm.
Tim's competitiveness fuels his perpetual mission to attain an edge in the markets on behalf of his clients. He pragmatically refines his investment strategies in the pursuit of maximized risk-adjusted return.
Essentially, it's not about being right or wrong—it's about making money and minimizing losses. Tim's character and perspective have allowed him to develop an impressive performance track record through the turbulent markets of the past decade.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 1991.
